The complete process covered 7 different document types and a total of 300,000 documents.
This operation was accomplished in 5 workdays.

Documents from 5 different EMC Documentum docbases(version 4.1 to 5.2.5) were extracted into the mirror for processing by business users.

After processing, documents are forwarded in batches to their final destination(a new document repository).

We really appreciate the following things about working with Xaop:

Flexibility:
We decided to broaden the scope to include some more exports which was no problem for Xaop, they even tried to do it in the same time.

For us, this was a nice introduction to the flexibility that Ruby technology can offer.

Communication:
I was impressed with the good communication I experienced with Xaop people.

Every issue encountered has been explained clearly so together we could decide on how to fix it. This process usually took but a few minutes. (For instance: title too long or not unique and vice versa they quickly gained an understanding for our business situation. This resulted in an excellent collaboration.

All issues have been addressed quickly. For example when for one of the repositories the export turned out to be too slow, changes were made to improve speed.

Documentation:
Documenting all interventions on the wiki as well as giving us a little procedure so we can monitor the export ourselves and stop/restart or do incremental exports whenever we want.

Further more I also appreciated the quick response when I send out a mail no matter at what time of the day or day of the week. Xaop people seemed very dedicated to successfully complete the job and I felt really taken care of and well understood.
