Create a realistic simulation to mimic the 2014 Ebola outbreak and evolution.

We used a demo version of the Idylla™ Connect and the available data from the 2014 Ebola outbreak, to develop a prototype of a disease tracking system. It was a mix of WHO data, our expert knowledge and data science that were used to create this simulation.

It was really important for us to fully visualise the progression of the outbreak. We accomplished this by adding an elaborate layer panel where the user can create custom visualisations by selecting different layers and types of data.

The disease tracking system does not only visualise the outbreak’s progression but it also allows to show its evolution and monitor samples that are taken on site.
